BDS acts as well-rounded expert that conducts a detailed strategic assessment of the planned acquisition (strategic due diligence). This includes for example an in-depth analysis of the market environment (customers, market development and competitors) as well as the evaluation or creation of business plans.

In the role of a generalist, BDS coordinates the various parties involved (such as lawyers, banks, tax advisors) and also oversees the project management office (PMO).
